Roy Blunt Luminary Park receives federal clearance for project advancement
Luminary Park has cleared another project milestone with the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) sign off from the Federal Highway Administration. The project team received a FONSI after completing a thorough Environmental Assessment (EA) process and facilitating a public comment period. The EA was conducted in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration.
The FONSI marks the conclusion of an environmental review to investigate and identify improvements to connect city districts and transportation networks, which began in September 2023.
As part of the study, the EA under the National Environmental Policy Act, evaluated potential impacts the proposed transportation improvements could have on the project area’s natural and manmade environment. EAs are designed to help agencies, elected officials and the public make sound decisions.
The FONSI marks progress for the project and allows the project to move one step closer to construction.
